Kawalis Masr Vol.1 is a music compilation CD featuring five songs from five different independent Egyptian bands.  The CD comes with a visual booklet presenting the work of five Egyptian visual artists creating their visual interpretation of the music on the CD. Believing in the power of music and its effect on social psychology, Ganzeer, alongside Backstage Productions, took part in producing the 2,500 copies of Kawalis Masr Vol. 1, which was made available for free at select locations across Cairo, and over-looked the art direction of the accompanying visual booklet and handpicked all the artists involved.

Musicians featured on the CD are: Ahmad El-Sawi, Eskenderella, Wust El-Balad, Flamenca, and Step By Step.

Visual artists interpreting the bands’ music are: Haitham Abu Samra, Hala El-Sharouny, FC Studio, George Azmy, and Yehia Ismail.
